Buy a single AirPod: a replacement instead of a new pair

One AirPod lost or broken, but the other one still works? Then there’s no need to buy a new pair. You can get the left or right AirPod, and the charging case too, on their own. Here’s how to find the right part.

Buy individually or a new pair?

A single AirPod costs only a fraction of a new pair. For example: new AirPods Pro 3 cost €249 at Apple, while a single AirPod Pro 3 costs €109 from us (as of October 2026). Your remaining AirPod and your charging case stay in use, which saves money and cuts electronic waste.

A new pair is more worthwhile if both AirPods and the charging case are broken, or if you want to switch to a newer model anyway.

How to find the right replacement

Find your model number. It starts with A and is printed in small letters on the AirPod or inside the lid of the charging case. On your iPhone, you’ll find it in Settings under your AirPods.
Check our table of all model numbers to see which model it belongs to.
Choose the missing part: left AirPod, right AirPod or charging case.

What to look out for

Same model: an AirPod only works with AirPods of the same generation. For example, an AirPod Pro 3 won’t work together with an AirPod Pro 2.
Same version: AirPods Pro 2 with Lightning and with USB-C are different parts, as are AirPods 4 with and without ANC.
Genuine: at Lostpod, you get genuine replacement parts from Apple with a serial number.
